Taquería La Ventana began as Georg handing out tacos through his apartment window—a simple, heartfelt gesture that resonated with the neighborhood. Now, it has found a permanent space. The aim was to carry that original spirit into the new setting. The design keeps the prominent window as a central feature, maintaining the direct, street-facing relationship that defined the original idea. Inside, the space is intentionally compact and grounded, with warm, earthy tones that reflect the color and texture of handmade maize tortillas. The kitchen is quietly disguised as a “shop within the shop,” preserving the informal, street-food character. Nothing feels overly polished—materials were chosen for their honesty and warmth, supporting the casual charm of the place rather than competing with it. Taquería La Ventana remains small and unpretentious. Our role was simply to shape a space that allows its story to continue—now with walls, but still with a window.. Rupert Zallmann
